Searching for beautiful artwork and depth in anime, manga and scanlations. Particularly fond of female character art, beautiful eyes, emotional scenes, futuristic ideas…and anything really cute! Favourite genres are yuri, sci-fi/cyberpunk, horror/supernatural, psychological thrillers and historical. I wrote my university dissertations on misconceptions about sci-fi manga, and the aesthetics of horror manga.
Currently reviewing manga, and anime related books for: Douglas & McIntyre, Drawn & Quarterly, DrMaster, Manga University, Tokyopop, Top Cow and Vertical.
